Visit Galapagos on a small yacht tour 5 day itinerary Central and north Islands
Visit the Central and northern islands of the Galapagos archipelago on a 5 day boat trip. You will explore the nesting grounds of the red footed boobies, spot galapagos hawks, tropic birds, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas, lava lizards, penguins, and other endemic creatures. The Galaxy yacht is a first class liveaboard custom fitted to reach spots larger boats cannot.

Dia a Dia

Dia 1: Baltra Island & Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove

Transfer to Santa Cruz and arrive at Baltra Island.

Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove

Our first stop is Black Turtle Cove, which is located in Santa Cruz's northern region. This bay is only accessible by dinghy and is surrounded with mangroves. The shallow cove provides safe shelter for marine life. Here you will often see black-tip reef sharks and marine turtles.

Dia 2: Rabida Island & Chinese Hat Islet

Rabida Island

The visitor site, located east of Rabida Island's coast, is composed of a red sandy beach, a lagoon behind the beach and a loop trail. The trail runs approximately 1.1 km.

The porous volcanic material that forms the rocks and sands on the beach has been oxidized by environmental factors such as rain, salt water, and the sea breeze. Apart from the vegetation in the arid zone, the main attraction is the red sand beaches and presence of endemic and native species.

Chinese Hat Islet

It is a small island located on the coast of Santiago. From afar, it looks like a Chinese hat. It is composed of a cone-shaped "Splatter" island (lava that has been ejected from drops and falls near its source, which forms an inclined cone) that forms the summit. There are many lava tubes that run down to the coast. Pillow-type lava formations can be seen to the west. These are signs that the flows have been elevated upwards from under the sea, which is why coral heads can be found on the lava. This is a great place to learn about geological features like lava tubes or lava flows. It takes approximately half an hour to complete the trek, which is 700m round trip.
